How to Audit SAP Developer Licenses

SAP Developer Licenses are one of the costly ones and must be considered seriously. Also, these licenses are easy to control. A SAP developer license can be obtained only when the user is registered. All SAP systems need to be measured. Only the developer user will be calculated in case of test and development systems. SAP License Audit will show companies what they can save in SAP licensing costs. Consequently, SAP licensing and developer confusion can be resolved.

SAP Licensing Developer

• The SAP system measurement should take place to classify developer users as SAP Application Developer user. The number of SSCR keys will be taken as a reference.
• Each user needs to be licensed once only. And all test users in Test or Development system will not be calculated as chargeable users. But both users would be taken into account if the users are working in PRD as professional users and in DEV as developer users.
• The SSCR Developer/Object keys are stored in the following tables when the keys are transferred to the SAP system:

1. DEVACCESS: Developer keys
2. ADIRACCESS: Object keys

• AuditBOT does not have any report programs to delete the entries from the tables. The SAP customer has to write a local program to delete the table entries if there is a necessity to delete the entries.
• SAP SE never recommends cleaning the developer keys, as long as the user ID is Locked / Deleted. It is important to Cancel all the Jobs defined by the Developer in DEV.
• AuditBOT's recommendation is to first lock the user id of the SAP user.
